Portiqis (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the Portiqis website and services (the “Service”), why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It is written to satisfy our obligations under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and substantially similar provincial laws. We share personal information only as described below. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Where information is stored

Information may be stored on or processed by servers located in Canada, the United States, or other jurisdictions where our providers operate. When information is processed outside Canada it may be accessible to foreign authorities under local law. We rely on contractual safeguards (including standard contractual clauses where applicable) to protect your information during international transfers.

5. How long we keep it

We retain your account and form-fill data for as long as your account is active and for up to 3 years after your last activity, after which we delete or de-identify it, unless a longer period is required by law (for example, financial records). You can request earlier deletion (see your rights below). Backups are overwritten on a regular cycle.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, encryption of sensitive fields at rest, access controls, and logging. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We use a small number of strictly-necessary cookies for authentication and session management, and optional cookies for analytics and product improvement. You can manage cookies through your browser; disabling strictly-necessary cookies may break parts of the Service.

9. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Notice for users in the EU and UK

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR applies to our processing of your personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a new “Last updated” date and, where the change is material, notify you through the Service or by email.
